To foster an excellent environment for teaching and learning and to ensure the smooth execution of instructional activities in the new semester, University Leaders—including Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee and President Liu Fucheng, alongside Vice President Guo Youqiang—visited the frontlines of teaching on September 7, the first day of the semester. Accompanied by heads of the Academic Affairs Office and the Quality Monitoring and Evaluation Center, they conducted a comprehensive inspection of classroom instruction, learning environments, and academic order.

Liu Fucheng, president of BCTB, inspected faculty teaching and student engagement in class. During the inspection, they focused on faculty instruction status, student active participation, and the maintenance of classroom discipline.

Vice President Guo Youqiang led a team to inspect practical teaching on-site, placing special emphasis on the operational status of laboratory equipment and safety compliance measures. Director of the Academic Affairs Office Ren Senchun and Deputy Director of the Quality Monitoring and Evaluation Center Cheng Ronglong also closely checked faculty attendance, student presence, and facility operations.

Inspection results indicated that all academic operations for the new semester were running smoothly and as scheduled. Instructors arrived at their teaching posts ahead of time, fully equipped with complete instructional materials including syllabi, lesson plans, and courseware, while conducting classes in a structured and standardized manner. Students demonstrated high attendance rates, keen attentiveness, and active interaction, showcasing an energetic learning atmosphere for the new term. Teaching venues were clean and orderly, equipment ran reliably, and all necessary logistical support was in place.

Our university has consistently regarded classroom inspections as a key measure to reinforce quality awareness and consolidate the foundation of education. Classroom visits led by university leadership have become a regular and institutionalized practice. This mechanism plays a vital role in gaining real-time insights into instructional dynamics, shifting administrative focus closer to the frontlines, and cultivating a university-wide culture that values and supports teaching excellence. Moving forward, the university will continue to deepen the quality of internal education and build a multi-dimensional, collaborative quality enhancement system, ensuring the steady and continuous elevation of classroom instruction standards.
