The national finals of the 2026 (19th) China University Computer Design Contest successfully concluded recently. Two teams from our university won national third prizes, marking a historic breakthrough for the institution in this competition.
The China University Computer Design Contest is one of the most influential higher education competitions in China's computer science field. Featuring more than ten major categories, including Software Application and Development, Artificial Intelligence Applications, and Information Visualization Design, the contest attracted tens of thousands of teams from nearly 1,000 universities nationwide. Attaching great importance to this event, our university launched the campus selection in March 2026, drawing enthusiastic participation from nearly 100 students across 30-plus teams. During the preparation phase, faculty advisors provided end-to-end guidance spanning topic selection, technical implementation, and presentation defense. Making full use of their spare time, the student competitors refined their projects, optimized algorithms, and honed their technical skills through iterative improvements to strive for excellence.
During the provincial stage, several teams from our university advanced successfully with creative ideas and solid technical execution, capturing multiple honors including first, second, and third provincial prizes.

Among them, two teams earned spots in the national finals. Competing on the national stage, the team members articulated their design concepts and technical architecture with clarity and logic. Facing professional questioning from the judges, they responded with confidence and poise, fully demonstrating our students' solid academic foundation and adaptability under pressure.

This achievement vividly reflects our university's long-standing educational philosophy of "promoting teaching, learning, and curriculum reform through competitions." Team members noted that the national finals not only sharpened their technical expertise but also broadened their horizons and clarified their future directions through competing alongside top peers nationwide. Moving forward, the university will continue expanding high-level competition platforms, deepening the integration between classroom instruction and industry needs, and cultivating more high-quality applied talents to support the growth of the digital economy.
