Recently, two software projects developed by students from the School of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at Bengbu College of Technology and Business (BCTB) successfully passed the review of China's National Copyright Administration and were granted Computer Software Copyright Registration Certificates. Following the college's first software copyright authorization last year, these newly registered achievements mark another milestone in students' independent intellectual property creation, demonstrating the effectiveness of BCTB's long-term efforts in integrating academic competitions, intellectual property commercialization, innovation and entrepreneurship education, and practical talent development.

Both registered software projects originated from award-winning entries in academic competitions, including the Chinese Collegiate Computer Design Competition. The first project, Smart Eye Classroom: An Intelligent Classroom Learning Behavior Monitoring and Analysis Platform Based on Multimodal Perception, led by student Zheng Jingchao, focuses on classroom behavior analysis in smart education. By integrating edge computing and deep learning technologies, the platform evaluates learning performance through both visual behavior and classroom audio analysis. Testing showed a correlation coefficient of 0.94 between its comprehensive learning behavior index and manual evaluations, demonstrating strong practical value and application potential.

The second project, DormSmart Mini Program, led by student Li Jintao, addresses practical challenges in university dormitory management, including room allocation, maintenance requests, and room transfer approvals. Based on a stable matching and clustering collaborative optimization algorithm, the system combines a WeChat Mini Program with a web-based management platform to provide a complete digital workflow for dormitory management. A digital floor plan further enables unified visualization of dormitory operations, significantly improving management efficiency and service responsiveness.

In recent years, BCTB has consistently attached great importance to cultivating students' innovation and practical abilities. Guided by the educational philosophy of 'promoting learning, teaching, and innovation through competitions,' the college actively encourages participation in high-level disciplinary contests, integrates curriculum teaching with competition-based training and intellectual property development, and embeds innovation awareness and technology commercialization throughout the entire talent cultivation process. These efforts empower students to transform professional knowledge into practical innovations with independent intellectual property rights.

Moving forward, BCTB will continue to strengthen its innovation and entrepreneurship training platforms, encourage students to explore cutting-edge fields such as smart education, digital twins, and edge intelligence, deepen the integration of technology with campus applications and industry needs, foster more high-quality original innovations, and further enhance the cultivation of innovative, application-oriented computer science professionals.
