On the afternoon of December 3, 2025, the Academic Committee of Bengbu College of Technology and Business (BCTB) held its third plenary meeting in the video conference room on the fifth floor of the Xingyuan Building. The meeting was presided over by Liu Fucheng, Chairman of the University Academic Committee. Ding Zhongming, Honorary Chairman, and Wang Shizhen and Liu Congjiu, Vice Chairmen, along with all committee members, attended the meeting.
The meeting first reviewed the adjusted list of Academic Committee members. Subsequently, the Secretariat of the Academic Committee reported on the committee's work for the current year to all members. The report comprehensively reviewed the achievements made by the Academic Committee over the past year in strengthening the faculty team, promoting academic development, and enhancing organizational construction. It also analyzed existing problems and outlined key tasks for the coming year.
The meeting deliberated on the Administrative Measures for University-level Research Institutions of Bengbu College of Technology and Business (Trial) and the Report on the Application for the Establishment of the Capital Market Research Center of Bengbu College of Technology and Business. It discussed and determined the basic principles for establishing university-level research institutions, providing direction for the university's future construction of scientific research platforms. Additionally, the meeting discussed matters related to the 2025 cross-regional professional title recognition and the review and recommendation of personnel applying for professional titles in 2025.
In the final stage of the meeting, President Liu Fucheng delivered a concluding speech. On behalf of the university, he highly praised the efforts and contributions of all committee members and the secretariat staff over the past year and put forward requirements and expectations for the future work of the Academic Committee. First, as leaders, they should continuously strengthen the construction of teachers' ethics and professional conduct, leading a noble academic trend to lay a solid foundation for the university's high-quality development. Second, as drivers, they should give full play to their guiding role in scientific research innovation, enhance academic competitiveness, and inject new momentum into the university's scientific research development. Third, as practitioners, they should vigorously promote the optimization of disciplines and majors and teaching reforms, solidifying the foundation of talent cultivation to ensure the steady and long-term development of the university's educational cause.
This plenary meeting of the Academic Committee provided a clear blueprint for the university to solidify the foundation of fostering virtue through education and to inject new development momentum. It was an important meeting for the university to deepen its internal development and embark on a new journey toward high-quality development.
