On October 23, the opening ceremony of the first Beauty of Data Orientation Education activity of the School of Big Data Industry was grandly held in Room A103 of Duxing Building. This event was jointly organized by Ruiyi Workshop and the Data Science Association. Attendees included Xia Ri, Vice Dean of the School; Wu Libin, Director of the Big Data Department; and Gao Xiangnan, Regional Director of China Science TR. The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Zhao Hanjie from the School of Big Data Industry, with students from the Class of 2024 Big Data major in attendance. During the ceremony, Zhao Hanjie introduced the schedule for the orientation education series, which consists of four main steps: big data cognitive lectures, visits to the School of Big Data, big data knowledge competitions, and big data analysis skills competitions, spanning a total of eight weeks. Subsequently, Gao Xiangnan delivered a big data cognitive lecture for the freshmen. The lecture aimed to help the Class of 2024 freshmen quickly adapt to the university environment, clarify their learning goals, embark on an exciting university journey, and provide guidance for their career planning. He concluded by mentioning that the process of attending university is, in fact, the process of writing one's own job resume. He encouraged students to cherish their time and look forward to a promising future. With the successful conclusion of the opening ceremony, the Beauty of Data Orientation Education series has officially commenced. Subsequent activities will be even more diverse and colorful. The school looks forward to the enthusiastic participation of the students and believes they will achieve fruitful results.
