Recently, Qi Rong, a young faculty member from the School of Computer and Data Engineering at Bengbu College of Technology and Business (BCTB), published a high-quality research paper as the first author in the journal Journal of Function Spaces (Impact Factor: 1.807, CAS Tier 3). The paper is titled Lie Symmetry Analysis for the General Classes of Generalized Modified Kuramoto-Sivashinsky (GMKS) Equation.

This publication marks a significant academic achievement for BCTB in an SCI-indexed journal. The Kuramoto-Sivashinsky equation, a nonlinear partial differential equation, has garnered extensive scholarly attention due to its complex dynamical behavior. The application of Lie group theory to construct solutions for differential equations remains one of the most active fields in nonlinear differential equation research. By employing Lie symmetry, the problem of solving partial differential equations can be reduced to solving ordinary differential equations; furthermore, utilizing the symmetry of these ordinary differential equations can lower the order of the equations, leading to the determination of exact solutions.

The paper discusses generalized modified one-dimensional K-S type equations and utilizes Lie symmetry analysis to determine symmetry algebras. The research aims to identify optimal systems and similarity solutions corresponding to specific cases of the GMKS equation.
